2015 All-PacWest Women's Cross Country

Eileen Stressling was named PacWest Runner of the Year and
Lauren Harrell was named PacWest Freshman of the Year. Hawai’i Pacific’s
Johanna Apelryd was named PacWest Newcomer of the Year. California Baptist’s
Ben Gall was named PacWest Coach of the Year.
Stressling became the first APU runner to receive the conference’s top honor after winning the PacWest Championship individual title. She made a strong push in the final kilometer of the 6k championship race to finish at 21:14.97. Stressling also won the UCSD Triton Classic 6k (21:36.9) and took second at the Lancer Invitational 4k (14:20.0). She was the PacWest Runner of the Week after finishing 30
th overall and fourth among DII competitors at the Stanford Invitational.
Harrell made a strong impact in her first season of competition. The three-time PacWest Freshman of the Week finished fifth at both the Lancer Invitational and the UCSD Triton Classic. She took home first-team All-PacWest honors with a seventh-place finish at the PacWest Championship, the top freshman performance.
Apelryd continued HPU’s trend of island dominance, finishing in the top-five in all four Hawaii races this season. She won both the BYU-Hawaii Invitational and the Chaminade Invitational. She came in fourth place at the PacWest Championship with a time of 21:33.6.
Gall won his second-consecutive coach of the year honor for the women. He led CBU to a defense of its PacWest Championship title, with seven runners earning All-PacWest recognition. CBU won both the CBU Invitational and the Lancer Invitational as well. CBU is ranked third in the region and ninth in the nation heading into the NCAA West Regional on Nov. 7.
The All-PacWest teams were determined by the results of the PacWest Championship meet. The top-21 finishers received All-PacWest honors, with seven runners on each team.
