Cassidy Mihalko (CBU),
Jasmin Guinn (Academy of Art) and
Ashley Earles (Concordia). The awards are based on games played Nov. 23-29.
PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Cassidy Mihalko (CBU)
G, Jr., Franklin, Wis./Franklin
Mihalko led the fourth-ranked Lancers to two wins at the CBU Thanksgiving Classic, averaging 22.5 points and 8.5 rebounds per game. She logged a double-double with 26 points, on 9-of-14 shooting, and 12 rebounds against Cal State Dominguez Hills. Mihalko is second in the PacWest in scoring (18.8 ppg) and 12
th in rebounding (7.3 rpg).
DEFENDER OF THE WEEK
Jasmin Guinn (Academy of Art)
G, Sr., Berkeley, Calif./Berkeley HS
Guinn continued her stellar all-around season, averaging 21.3 points, 10.0 rebound and 4.3 steals per game in three contests on the week. She recorded five steals against both Cal State Dominguez Hills and Cal State Monterey Bay, and three against Cal State East Bay, extending her streak of at least three steals to seven games. She also had a season-high 14 rebounds against the Toros and set the ART U single-game record with 35 points against the Otters. Guinn leads the PacWest and is 18
th in the nation in steals (3.4 spg).
FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK
Ashley Earles (Concordia)
G, Fr., Tustin, Calif./Tustin
Earles led Concordia to a 103-75 win over Bethesda, the first of the season for the Eagles. She scored a career-high 22 points on 9-of-14 shooting. She also had two rebounds, two assists and two steals.
