IRVINE, Calif. – This week’s PacWest Golfers of the Week are Chaminade’s Jarin Harada and Academy of Art’s Sterling Hawkins. The awards are based on matches played March 12-18.
 
Men’s Golfer of the Week – Jarin Harada (Chaminade)
Jr., Honolulu, Hawaii/Maryknoll
 
Harada earned his first individual victory of the season, winning a tri-match with Hawai’i Pacific and Hawai’i Hilo. He carded a two-under par 70, leading the Silverswords to a second-place finish.
 
Women’s Golfer of the Week – Sterling Hawkins (Academy of Art)
Fr., San Jose, Calif./Willow Glen
 
Hawkins finished tied for sixth at the Midwestern State Invitational, leading the Urban Knights to third place in the 16-team field. She carded a 10-over par 154 in the two-round event. She improved two strokes in the second round with a 76, moving up 10 spots in the standings for the first top-10 result of her career.
