PacWest Conference Introduces New Brand Identity

PacWest Conference Style Guide

IRVINE, Calif.
– The PacWest Conference introduced a new logo on Monday. The new logo, colors and wording will serve as the basis of a revised brand identity the conference will utilize starting in 2015-16.

The updated logo encapsulates the classic PacWest mountains and wave graphic and wordmark in a circle, giving it a contemporary style and increasing its functionality. The new wordmark changed to “PacWest Conference” to better identify the organization in the diverse regional and national media landscape. The official conference color changed to a lighter shade of turquoise.

“The new PacWest logo revitalizes the brand with a modern look and allows for increased visibility and recognition,” said PacWest Commissioner Bob Hogue. “With our new strategic plan recently put into place, this was the perfect time to strengthen our positioning both regionally and nationally.”

For the first time, the PacWest logo has been rendered in the school colors of each member school, providing them each with a mark that will seamlessly integrate into their own branding efforts. The PacWest logo will be on display via numerous applications - team uniforms, merchandise, facilities and digital platforms such as websites, social media and video streaming.

The new PacWest logo was conceptualized by director of strategic positioning Jimmy Knodel and the conference’s strategic positioning committee. The redesign was executed by Dominican Assistant Director of Athletics for Athletic Communications Brandon Davis.
