A familiar face in PacWest women's basketball, Sheila Adams assumed the role of interim head coach at NDNU in 2015. A First Team All-PacWest selection out of Dixie State in 2012, Adams first came to NDNU as an assistant to her mentor and former coach, Angie Kristensen, who led the Red Storm to their first NCAA Tournament in program history. Adams fire and passion, which resembles a lot of her predecessor, has kept the wheels turning for the Argonauts, who are currently in the midst of a rebuilding phase.
Wayne Coito talks with the new head coach who understands the difficulty of the PacWest road better than most anyone you'll find in the conference, having experienced it as a player and now as a coach. With her love and the game and the commitment to her players, Adams has a young NDNU squad playing their hearts out this season and aiming to be even better in the coming years.
With a young roster that includes six freshmen, including one of the top scorers in the PacWest, the Argonauts have much to look forward to in the near future!
