IRVINE, Calif. – This week’s PacWest Golfers of the Week are
Jarin Harada (Chaminade) and
Crystal Wang (Academy of Art). The awards are based on matches played March 3-9.
MEN’S GOLFER OF THE WEEK
Jarin Harada (Chaminade)

Harada won the individual title at the Aloha at O’ahu Classic on the Turtle Bay Palmer Course. He carded a two-round 149 to finish the tournament 5-over, three strokes ahead of Malone’s Jake Troyer. He fired an even-par 72 in the opening round. It was Harada’s eighth-career tournament win. Chaminade took home the team title as well with a 631 score.
WOMEN’S GOLFER OF THE WEEK
Crystal Wang (Academy of Art)

Wang earned her second weekly conference honor with a second-place finish at the Tim Tierney Pioneer Shootout, hosted by Cal State East Bay. She shot an even-par 144 to tie with Sonoma State’s Emily Leung in the 73-player field. She was tied for eighth after the first round, but improved four strokes with a 2-under 70 in the second round to climb the leaderboard. Academy of Art finished fifth as a team, one stroke ahead of California Baptist.
