Softball Weekly Awards – March 28

IRVINE, Calif. – This week’s PacWest Softball Players of the Week are Elisa Oldham (Academy of Art), Sarah Murphy (California Baptist), Aryn Feickert (Dixie State) and Megan Kravec (Notre Dame de Namur). The awards are based on games played March 21-28.
 
CO-PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Elise Oldham (Academy of Art)
C, Sr., Scottsdale, Ariz./Scottsdale
 
Oldham hit .636 (7-11) in four games on the week, with three home runs, six RBI and three runs scored. She compiled 16 total bases and a 1.455 slugging percentage, and did not strikeout in 13 plate appearances. She was 3-for-3 with a home run in the ART U’s 5-4 comeback win over NDNU. She homered in each game of a doubleheader split with Dominican the following day.
 
CO-PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Sarah Murphy (CBU)
OF, So., Las Vegas, Nev./Cimarron-Memorial
 
Murphy hit .700 (7-10) in CBU’s four-game sweep of visiting Chaminade. She scored four runs and drove in three more, as the No. 11 Lancers won all four games by run-rule margins. She also stole three bases in three attempts. She went 3-for-3 with a pair of RBI singles in the final game of the series. Murphy is second in the PacWest in runs (35) and stolen bases (18).
 
PITCHER OF THE WEEK
Aryn Feickert (Dixie State)
RHP, Sr., Lancaster, Calif./Highland
 
In her one start of the week, Feickert threw a no-hitter against Chaminade. She matched her season-high with 11 strikeouts, striking out at least two batters in four of the six innings. Feickert threw Dixie State’s first-ever perfect game last season. She currently ranks second in the PacWest in strikeouts (119), wins (14) and opponent’s batting average (.179).
 
NEWCOMER OF THE WEEK
Megan Kravec (Notre Dame de Namur)
IF, Fr., Merced, Calif./Merced
 
Kravec hit .500 (5-10) in three games on the week, driving in seven runs and scoring four herself. She went 4-for-5 with two doubles and four RBI in a 15-6 win over Academy of Art. She then hit her first-career home run in the second game of that doubleheader.
