Nick Rivera (Dominican) and
Crystal Wang (Academy of Art). The awards are based on events played Sept. 8-14.
MEN’S GOLFER OF THE WEEK
Nick Rivera (Dominican)

Rivera led Dominican against a strong field of Division I teams at the USF Olympic Intercollegiate in San Francisco. He was the top Penguin on the leaderboard, finishing in a tie for 47
th with a three-round 227. Dominican, the only DII team in the 14-team event, finished 13
th (923), three strokes ahead of Hawaii.
WOMEN’S GOLFER OF THE WEEK
Crystal Wang (Academy of Art)
Sr., La Jolla, Calif./University City
Wang opened the 2016-17 season with a victory at the Art of Golf Classic, the third individual title of her career. She shot a two-round 150, which included an even-par 73 in the first round, to win by three strokes. Art U won the team title with a 621, beating Sonoma State by 20 strokes.
