CBU’s Mihalko Named USBWA DII Player of the Week

IRVINE, Calif. – California Baptist guard Cassidy Mihalko was named the U.S. Basketball Writers Association (USBWA) Division II Women’s National Player of the Week on Wednesday. She is the first PacWest women’s player to garner the honor this season and the third overall PacWest player. She has led No. 10 California
 
Mihalko earned her fourth conference honor, averaging 28.5 points and 10.0 rebounds in two wins for No. 11 CBU, bringing the Lancers’ winning streak to 14. She had 27 points, six rebounds and three steals at Azusa Pacific. She then had 30 points, 14 rebound and four steals against Concordia. She was 12-of-19 from the field to come within two points of her school record. CBU has scored 100 points in five of its last eight games, and Mihalko is averaging 24 points per game in that span.
