Frampton And Servin Named Golfers Of The Week

IRVINE, Calif. -- Dixie State men's golf earned its first win of the season taking first place out of five teams at the Dixie State Invitational, which sophomore Jayce Frampton won with a score of 4-under-par 140. Academy of Art's freshman Anahi Servin also won a tournament, taking first place in the Battle of the Bay with a score of 4-over-par 76 in the one-round shootout.

Holy Names women's golf led the PacWest in the Battle of the Bay with a second-place finish out of the four teams. The Hawks were led by Jesse Kaneshiro, who finished in a tie for second place at 5-over-par 77.

Servin shot a 4-over-par 76 to secure the victory in the Battle of the Bay and sunk a birdie on the sixth hole. This is the first win of the Asuncion, Paraguay native's young career and the second time that she has topped the stat sheet for the Urban Knights this fall. The freshman led the Urban Knights to a third-place finish out of four teams in the event.

Frampton took first place at the Dixie State Invitational with a score of 4-under-par 140 to lead Dixie State to the team win by five strokes. Frampton shot a 2-under-par 70 in both rounds to finish two strokes ahead of his teammate Spencer Wallace in second place. Dixie State had three of the top-five finishers in its first win of the season.
