IRVINE, Calif. – This week’s PacWest Women’s Track & Field Athletes of the Week are
Marion Presigny (Academy of Art),
Cydnie Jones (Azusa Pacific) and
Hannah Hensley (Academy of Art). The awards are based on competition from April 10-16.
TRACK CO-ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Marion Presigny (Academy of Art)
Gr. - Albertville, France/Lycee Jean Moulin Albertville
Presigny delivered two individual NCAA provisional marks plus a third in the women's 4x400m relay over the weekend. She competed at two different locations on Apr. 14 (Mt. SAC Relays and Bryan Clay Invite) offering a 100m hurdles season-best 14.25 that put her now 30th in the country then added a 1:00.92 in the 400m hurdles for 17th in Division II. She was ninth out of 68 hurdlers in that second event and remains fourth all-time in program history. To cap the weekend, Presigny served as anchor in the 4x400m for a season-best 3:42.04 that is now fifth in the nation and third in ART U history.

Cydnie Jones (Azusa Pacific)
Sr. – Riverside, Calif./Martin Luther King
Jones posted three NCAA provisional marks at the Bryan Clay Invite, two individual and one relay. She ran an 11.91 in the 100m, .01 off her personal-best, and set a new PR in the 200m with 24.33. She was part of the 4x100m relay team that took second place with a time of 46.77. All three marks rank in the top-30 in the nation.
FIELD ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Hannah Hensley (Academy of Art)
Sr. – Pinehurst, N.C./Pinecrest
Hensley posted the seventh-highest score in the nation in the heptathlon at the California Invitational with 5,049 points. She posted an automatic qualifier in the high jump during the seven-part event with a jump of 1.78m. The height is tied for the best in DII this season.
