2016-17 PacWest Scholar-Athletes of the Year
IRVINE, Calif. – The 2016-17 PacWest Scholar-Athlete of the Year awards were announced on Tuesday. The awards recognize one student-athlete from each of the PacWest’s 15 sponsored sports for their academic and athletic achievements during the year.
The honorees were selected in a vote by the PacWest sports information directors. Each of the winners are now eligible for the PacWest Male and Female Scholar-Athlete of the Year awards, which will be announced on Wednesday.
Drew Nelson (Dominican) won the men’s gold award for the third-consecutive season.
Eileen Stressling (Azusa Pacific),
Ryann Ferguson (Concordia)
, Donte McDaniel (Fresno Pacific) and
Jenna Perry (California Baptist) were all repeat selections in their sports.
