Hasna Kaarour claimed the individual title at the Triton Classic in the final race before the PacWest Championships in Fresno in two weeks.

Kaarour recoded the best performance so for in her career as an Urban Knight, winning the 26
th annual Triton Classic. The graduate student edged Point Loma’s Hannah Benoit-Bucher by 2.4 seconds to take home first place. Kaarour finished with a time of 22:04.5 on the challenging 6k course in La Jolla, California. She led Academy of Art to a sixth-place team finish out of 11 teams.
FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK
Clara Haynes, Biola
Fr. – Yuma, Ariz./Gila Ridge HS/Nursing
Haynes finished in 17th place at the Titans Invitational to help Biola take second place out of five teams. Haynes covered the 5k course in 18:44.14 to be the third Eagle across the finish line in the final race of the regular season.

Plendcio earned another PacWest Runner of the Week honor after taking 10th place at the Titans Invitational in Fullerton, California. The junior finished the 8k course in 24:57.96 to lead Biola to a first-place team finish. He was the third attached runner across the finish line and led all NCAA Division II runners.

Ben Drew, Azusa Pacific
Fr. – Toowoomba, Australia/Toowoomba Grammar School/Economics
Drew placed 14th out of 90 runners at the Triton Classic with a time of 26:02.4 on the 8k course. He led Azusa Pacific to a sixth-place team finish. Drew was the second freshman across the finish line and the third runner from the PacWest. He finished with an average mile time of 5:14.3.
