Weekly awards for the week of Oct. 1-7

PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Julia Glaser, Point Loma
F, Jr., 5-8 -- Loerrach, Germany
Glaser scored four goals in Point Loma’s two wins last week as she recorded her second and third multi-goal games of the season. Those four goals were all the Sea Lions needed to defeat Concordia and Azusa Pacific at home. Glaser scored the game-winning goals in both games to reach a total of six game-winners on the season. She is now two game-winning goals away from the single-season record set last year by Darian Murdock from Dixie State. Glaser is also tied for the most career game-winners among active players, despite being in her first year in the conference.

DEFENDER OF THE WEEK
Alyssa Campbell, Dominican
D, Sr., 5-7 -- Livermore, Calif.
Campbell helped the Penguins record two shutout victories at home to extend their winning streak to four. The Dominican defense allowed only 14 shots and seven that were on frame in the two shutouts. Campbell also recorded two assists in the win over Hawai`i Pacific to push her total to four assists on the season. Campbell played all 180 shutout minutes, helping Alyssa Ramos move up to 8th place in career goals-against average in the PacWest.

FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK
Reilly Paterson, NDNU
M, Fr., 5-1 -- Temecula, Calif.
Paterson scored a golden goal in the 100th minute against Chaminade to give Notre Dame de Namur its first conference victory of the season. The freshman played all 100 minutes in the 3-2 win. With less than a minute left in the first overtime period, Paterson took a hard cross from the goalline and hit it into the near post to give the Argonauts three points. On the defensive end, Paterson helped hold Chaminade to just seven shots.
