-- Dixie State and California Baptist both won all four of their PacWest games last week as the Lancers maintained a two-game lead in the PacWest standings.

California Baptist swept doubleheaders against Biola and Azusa Pacific to improve to 18-2 in conference play this year. The Lancers won the second game against the Cougars with the help of a go-ahead RBI-single up the middle by PacWest Player of the Week Caitlyn Lloyd in the sixth inning. Ciara Stapp protected the lead with 4.2 scoreless innings to earn her 13th win of the year. Stapp finished the week with 21.2 scoreless innings and 18 strikeouts as she earned three wins and a save for California Baptist.

Dixie State started the week with two non-conference wins and then swept Holy Names and Dominican. In four appearances on the week, freshman Cambrie Hazel threw 20.2 innings and didn’t allow a single hit, throwing two no-hitters and striking out 25 batters. Hazel finished the week with three wins and a save as Dixie State improved to 32-4.

Concordia split with Azusa Pacific and swept Biola to move into a tie for third place in the conference standings. Freshman Callie Nunes allowed just two earned runs in 13 innings as she became the national leader in both ERA and strikeouts.

Concordia will be looking to build on its three-game winning streak with a busy week that includes four doubleheaders in five days.

The Eagles start the week with a road doubleheader against Cal State Dominguez Hills, which is in ninth place in the CCAA standings and has a 16-29 overall record. Concordia is 2-3 on the season against CCAA teams, which includes a 7-5 win against CSU Dominguez Hills.

This weekend, the top two teams in the conference standings will square off in St. George, Utah for a four-game series with doubleheaders on Friday and Saturday. Academy of Art will play just two games next week in a doubleheader at Dominican on Saturday. The two teams split when Academy of Art hosted. The Penguins scored three runs against Larsen in the opener, but the Urban Knights held on for a 4-3 win. Dominican won the next game, 10-9 with three runs in the top of the seventh to go ahead.

The three Hawai`i schools will all face each other this week. On Saturday, Hawai`i Hilo will host Hawai`i Pacific. The Sharks won both games when the teams met at the Sand Island Softball Park, holding the Vulcans to just three runs in the doubleheader. Chaminade hosts Hawai`i Pacific on Tuesday and travels to Hawai`i Hilo on Sunday.
