2018 Preseason All-PacWest Women's Soccer Team

IRVINE, Calif. – Fresno Pacific was voted the preseason favorite in PacWest women’s soccer by the league’s coaches, announced Wednesday. FPU tops the poll for the first time with 20 players returning from one of the best teams in program history.
 
The top-four teams in the poll received first-place votes and were separated by 20 total points. Fresno Pacific led the way with four first-place votes and 126 points. The Sunbirds went 9-2-2 in conference last year, their third-straight nine-win season, and tied for second place, their best finish ever. FPU entered the final weekend of the season with a chance to win its first PacWest title, but finished one point behind CBU.
 
Azusa Pacific was right behind FPU with 119 points and three first-place votes. APU tied with FPU for second place, winning its final three games to come within one point of a repeat conference championship.
 
Concordia took third place in the poll with 117 points and three first-place votes as well. Point Loma came in fourth with 106 point and one first-place votes. The teams finished fifth and sixth in the PacWest last year, respectively.
 
Biola finished its first year in the PacWest with three-straight wins to take fourth place, and then went on to win the NCCAA Women’s Soccer National Championship. The Eagles claimed fifth place in the poll with 97 points.
 
Notre Dame de Namur was picked sixth in the poll, and had three players on the Preseason All-PacWest team, including Player of the Year Ellie Mujushi. The PacWest Freshman of the Year and All-PacWest First Team member is the top-returning scorer in the PacWest, registering 29 points on 13 goals and three assists. She was a D2CCA All-West Region Second Team selection and a six-time PacWest Freshman of the Week.
 
Point Loma’s Keagan Bolibol was named Preseason PacWest Defender of the Year. She enters her senior year as a three-time All-PacWest and All-West Region honoree. She anchored the Point Loma defense that posted eight shutouts in 17 games and had a 310-minute shutout streak. She scored two goals, including the game-winner over NDNU.
 
Hawai’i Pacific’s Lauren Spencer was named Preseason PacWest Goalkeeper of the Year. In 15 games, she posted a 1.41 goals against average, .800 save percentage and four shutouts.
