Gabriel De Leon Manotoc helped Academy of Art took eighth place out of 16 teams at the Tim Tierney Pioneer Shootout. The junior shot a 1-over-par 217 to finish in a tie for 11th place out of 88 competitors.
MEN’S CO-GOLFER OF THE WEEK
Zach Kwan, Hawai`i Pacific
Sr. – Sacramento, Calif./Management of Information Systems
Kwan won the Biola Spring Invitational, taking first place out of 27 athletes. Kwan led Hawai`i Pacific to a first-place team finish with an 18-over-par 234 individually. Kwan won the tournament by two strokes. As a team, Hawai`i Pacific shot an 83-over-par 947.
WOMEN’S GOLFER OF THE WEEK
Alli Kim, Point Loma
Jr. – Murrieta, Calif./Murrieta
Kim won the 2019 Augustana University Spring Fling and led Point Loma to the team title as 10 NCAA Division II schools competed in Palm Desert, California. Kim won the tournament by six strokes with a score of 2-over-par 146. As a team, Point Loma finished 25-over-par 627 over two rounds.
