Kim, Khunsri Tie For First; Watkins Equals ART U Record

IRVINE, Calif. – This week’s PacWest Golfers of the Week are Alli Kim from Point Loma, Biapor Khunsri from Academy of Art and Matthew Watkins from Academy of Art.
 
MEN’S GOLFER OF THE WEEK
Matthew Watkins, Academy of Art

Watkins led Academy of Art to a ninth-place team finish as he tied the best 3-round score in Academy of Art history at the Mustang Intercollegiate. The sophomore opened the tournament with back-to-back rounds of 5-under-par 72. In the final round, he went even-par 72 to finish the event in fourth place with a score of 10-under-par 206.
 
WOMEN’S CO-GOLFER OF THE WEEK
Biapor Khunsri, Academy of Art

Khunsri tied for first place at the Sonoma State Spring Invite with an overall score of 4-over-par 148. She was tied for fourth place after the first round with a score of 2-over-par 74, behind her teammate Anahi Servin in first place. Khunsri shot the same score in the second round to move into a three-way tie for first place.
 
WOMEN’S CO-GOLFER OF THE WEEK

Kim recorded her third first-place finish of the season with a score of 4-over-par 148 to finish in a three-way tie. She finished both rounds with a 2-over-par 74. The Sea Lions finished in fourth place with a score of 41-over-par 617.
