IRVINE, Calif.
– For the second year in a row, Academy of Art has won both the Golfer and Freshman of the Year awards in the PacWest with Anahi Servin repeating as Golfer of the Year and Biapor Khunsri, earning recognition as the PacWest Freshman of the Year. The Urban Knights also earned the Coach of the Year award with first-year head coach Mitch Lowe receiving the honor from his peers.

Servin has won the PacWest Championships twice in her first two years of collegiate golf to earn a second PacWest Golfer of the Year recognition. The sophomore is ranked 11th in the nation after finishing in the top 10 in every event that she has competed in so far this year. Servin won two titles in the fall before making it three titles at the Wigwam Resort. She also had two runner-up finishes at the Tim Tierney Pioneer Shootout and the Otter Invitational in the spring.

Khunsri finished runner-up at the PacWest Championships with a score of 4-over-par 220 as she also earned first-team All-PacWest recognition. The freshman played her best golf of the year in April as she also won the Sonoma State Spring Invitational with a score of 4-over-par 148 for a three-way tie for first place. Khunsri helped the Urban Knights finish among the top-3 teams at every event they competed in this year.

It was the Urban Knights’ second team title of the season after winning the Dixie State Fall Invitational. Academy of Art finished in the top 3 as a team in all events this season, including six runner-up finishes. The Urban Knights earned the No. 5 seed for the West Super Regional, which will be played next week.
