PHOENIX, Ariz. – Grand Canyon junior center
Killian Larson (Puyallup, WA/Puyallup)
has been named the Pacific West Conference Men’s
Basketball Player of the Week.
The conference announced the award on Monday, Dec. 17, for games
played Dec. 10-16.
Larson led the Antelopes to a 71-61 NCAA II West Region win over
Montana State Billings on Dec. 14 – their lone game of the
week.
He scored 22 points, grabbed five rebounds and shot 81.8% (9 for
11) from the field in leading GCU to the victory.

Okesene Ale (Sr., 6-2, 170, G, Hau‘ula, HI/Kahuku) –
BYU-Hawaii – averaged 19.0 points and 2.5
assists per game despite a 0-2 week for the
Seasiders…BYU-Hawaii lost to Cedarville and Division I Long
Beach State.
Kevin Atilla (Jr., 5-11, 180, G, La Grande, OR/La
Grande) – Hawai‘i Pacific – helped
Sea Warriors to an 84-48 win over Menlo on Dec. 16 – the lone
game of the week for HPU…scored 13 points, grabbed four
defensive rebounds, handed out two assists and chipped in a
steal…did not miss a shot…was 4 for 4 from the field,
including 3 for 3 from beyond the arc…went 2 for 2 at the
line.
Alex Carmon (Fr-r., 6-3, 195, G, Long Beach, CA/Long
Beach Poly) - Academy of Art – produced 26
points, including going 10 for 11 (90.9%) from the foul line, in an
82-71 loss at Cal State Monterey Bay on Dec. 15 – the lone
game of the week for the Urban Knights…also pulled down
eight rebounds and made 2 of 4 (50.0%) three-point attempts (left

Ian Collins (Sr., 6-3, G, Santa Rosa, CA/Piner)
– Holy Names – scored 15 points while
shooting 87.5% (7 for 8) from the field in 64-53 win over Cal State
Maritime on Dec. 15 – the lone game of the week for the
Hawks…ranked fourth in shooting for the week in the
PacWest…also produced three assists.
Marko Cukic (Sr., 6-9, 235, C, Belgrade, Serbia)
– Hawai‘i Pacific – helped Sea
Warriors to an 84-48 win over Menlo on Dec. 16 – the lone
game of the week for HPU…scored 13 points and grabbed five
defensive rebounds in the win…went 5 for 7 (71.4%) at the
foul line…was perfect (4 for 4) from the floor…also
had an assist.
Bryan Fisher (Fr., 6-4, 190, G, Aliso Viejo, CA/Aliso Niguel) -
Academy of Art – amassed 16 points, four
rebounds, three assists, two blocks and a steal in an 82-71 loss at
Cal State Monterey Bay on Dec. 15 – the lone game of the week
for the Urban Knights…shot 60.0% (3 for 5) from beyond the
arc…made 6 of 13 (46.1%) attempts from the floor.
Tyler Fry (Jr., 6-3, G, Yuba, CA/Yuba) – Holy
Names – scored 21 points while shooting 66.7%
(8 for 12) from the field in 64-53 win over Cal State Maritime on
Dec. 15 – the lone game of the week for the Hawks…tied
for eighth in shooting for the week in the PacWest…connected
on 5 of 8 (62.5%) attempts from beyond the arc…ranked
seventh in three-point shooting for the week…also had two
steals in the win.
Devin Golston (Jr., 6-6, 200, F, Cerritos, CA/Gahr)
– Dominican – scored 14 points and
grabbed 10 rebounds in 81-62 thumping of Cal State East Bay on Dec.
15 – the lone game of the week for the Penguins…shot
66.7% (6 for 9) from the floor…tied for eighth in shooting
in the PacWest for the week (right photo).
Steven Larson (Jr., 6-8, 240, F/C, South Jordan,
UT/Copper Hills) – Dixie State – scored
23 points in a 68-58 PacWest win vs. Point Loma on Dec. 15 –
the lone game of the week for the Red Storm…shot 78.5% (11
for 14) from the line…made 50.0% (6 for 12) of attempts from
the field…grabbed five rebounds.
DeAndre Medlock (Jr., 6-10, 215, C, Fresno, CA/West
Clovis) – BYU-Hawaii – averaged 19.0
points per game while shooting 66.7% (12 for 18) from the field
despite a 0-2 week for the Seasiders…BYU-Hawaii lost to
Cedarville and Division I Long Beach State…tied for eighth
in shooting in the PacWest for the week.
Bennie Murray (Sr., 6-5, 180, G, Fairfield, CA/Will
C. Wood) – Chaminade – averaged 17.5
points while shooting 53.8% (14 for 26) from the field despite a
0-2 week for the Silverswords…Chaminade lost to Cedarville
and to Division I Hawai‘i…ranked seventh in scoring
and 20th in shooting for the week in the PacWest.
Zach Robbins (So., 6-10, 200, F/C, Upland, CA/Upland) – Dixie
State – scored 12 points, collected nine
rebounds and had two steals while shooting 50.0% (5 for 10) from
the floor in a 68-58 PacWest win vs. Point Loma on Dec. 15 –
the lone game of the week for the Red Storm…went 2 for 2 at
the line.
Dominique Taplin (So., 6-0, 175, G, Alameda,
CA/Oakland) – Dominican – totaled 12
points, eight rebounds, three assists, two steals and a block
during 81-62 thumping of Cal State East Bay on Dec. 15 – the
lone game of the week for the Penguins…shot 80.0% (4 for 5)
from the foul line…accrued stats while coming off the
bench.
Judd Welfringer (So., 6-5, 205, G, Mesa, AZ/Waukee)
– Point Loma – scored 22 points on 8 of
13 (61.5%) shooting in tough 68-58 loss at Dixie State on Dec. 15
– lone game of the week for the Sea Lions…made 5 of 7
(71.4%) three-point attempts…ranked fifth in three-points
shooting for the week in the PacWest…also had three assists
