3 PacWest Teams Still in NCAA Playoff Mix with 5 Days Left

Point Loma is No. 2, Concordia No. 5 and Hawai`i HIlo No. 6 as Monday's selection nears.

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind.--With just a few matches and days left on the NCAA qualifying calendar, the Pacific West Conference has three teams in the women's soccer mix, according to today's latest ranking (Nov. 8).

Point Loma is No. 2, Concordia checks in at No. 5 and Hawai`i Hilo is No. 6 in the listing presented by the NCAA national office. Concordia and Hawai`i Hilo have just one match left on their regular season schedules, while Point Loma has two.The Sea Lions dropped one spot in the standings despite winning two matches last week. Both Concordia and Hawai`i Hilo occupy the same spots that they held in the Nov. 1 ranking.

The three conference champions from the PacWest, CCAA and GNAC will each receive the Automatic Qualifier, and the next three teams from this list will also qualify. The NCAA Selection Show will be aired on Monday at 3:30 PT at ncaa.com. 

Today (Wednesday), Point Loma hosts Westmont. On Saturday, Concordia is at Westmont and Point Loma travels to Fresno Pacific to wrap up the regular season. The 2023 conference campaign comes to a close on Sunday when Hawai`i Hilo travels to Chaminade.
