Sea Lions Slip in Super Region 4 MSOC Poll

Large 5-conference region has Point Loma listed at No. 20

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind.--The Point Loma men's soccer team dropped to 20th in the third NCAA Super Region 4 rankings, announced today (Oct. 26) by the national office.

The Sea Lions are the only PacWest team listed in the Top 20.

2026 marks a new way to calculate the weekly rankings, which in the past was tabulated by a ratings committee. Now a National Power Index (NPI) will produce the list that eventually will determine what teams qualify for the NCAA postseason. To read more about NPI, click here.

Ultimately, the conference tournament champions from the PacWest, the GNAC, the RMAC, the Lone Star Conference and the CCAA will gain automatic NCAA tournament berths. At the conclusion of the conference tournaments, ten total teams will qualify for the NCAA national championships from Super-Region 4. That includes five at-large teams from this list.

Here is the top 10 (and Point Loma) as of today, October 26..
