3.12.3    COMMISSIONER CONTRACT
 
3.12.3.1       The initial contract of the Commissioner shall be for a period of one year as approved by an affirmative vote of two-­-thirds of the institutional representatives of the member institutions.
 
3.12.3.2       A second contract for a period of one year shall also require a two-­-thirds affirmative vote of the membership. Subsequent contracts for the incumbent Commissioner shall require a majority vote of the institutional representatives.
 
3.12.3.3   Starting with the third contract of employment, the Commissioner may be offered a three-­-year, annually renewable, "rollover contract" or be notified in writing of the intent of the Conference not to renew the existing contract. In the event of non-­-renewal, the incumbent Commissioner will have a one-­-year notice of the expiration of the employment contract.

3.12.3.4 Termination shall require a majority vote of the institutional representatives of the member institutions of the Executive Board.
