7.2    ELIGIBILITY  APPEALS

7.2.1          In the event a member institution or an individual student-­-athlete is dissatisfied with the disposition of a PacWest eligibility ruling, an appeal may be made to the Ad Hoc Committee for Appeals   (AHCA).  AHCA decisions shall be final. Appeals of a conference decision regarding a Medical Hardship Waiver or Medical Absence Waiver must be appealed to the appropriate NCAA committee as per NCAA legislation.
 
7.2.2          An equitable process shall be followed for such appeals. A student-­-athlete shall be entitled to have available for his/her appeal such items as the Conference manual, the NCAA Manual, and a statement indicating the rationale behind the decision in question.  It shall be the responsibility of the Commissioner to provide the institution and/or the student-­-athlete with a written statement indicating the basis for the Ad Hoc Committee action within ten (10) calendar days of the appeals hearing.
