Jared Pine joined the PacWest as Sports Communications Director on Aug. 1, 2017, and has finished his fifth year with the PacWest. He is the primary media contact for all 15 PacWest sports and oversees the conference's website, awards programs and social media accounts. He also oversees the compiling and recording of PacWest history going back to 1992.
Pine came to the PacWest after a year-long media relations assistant stint with the Great Northwest Athletic Conference, where he was the primary contact for six sports and contributed to the overall communications efforts of the conference. A 2016 graduate of Azusa Pacific University, he worked in the school’s sports information department for four years.
Pine also worked as a freelance writer for the Los Angeles News Group covering local high school and collegiate athletics, primarily for the San Gabriel Valley Tribune from 2011 to 2016. He currently resides in Escondido, California, with his wife Miriam and two kids, Caterina and Novak.
