XC Teams Prep for Labor Day Opening Weekend

PacWest Teams in Camp, Races Begin on Sept. 1

Cross country teams in the Pacific West Conference have begun the grind of practice, with the first races in sight in about two weeks.

The men's and women's schedules are now online. The men's schedule can be accessed here, and the women's races can be viewed here. 

Bay area schools Dominican and Academy of Art will kick off the season on Friday, Sept. 1 at the University of San Francisco's meet in Golden Gate Park. On Saturday (Sept. 2), the Point Loma women get their campaign underway at Cal State Fullerton, while Hawai`i schools Chaminade, Hawai`i Pacific and Hawai`i Hilo run on the North Shore at the Big Wave Invitational.

Fresno Pacific will get its first trial run at Woodward Park on Sept. 2 at the Seawolf Invitational. The Sunbirds will host the 2023 PacWest Championships at that site on October 21.

Newest PacWest member Westmont and will open its season on Sept. 8 in Fullerton at Biola's meet (where the Eagles will also debut), while Concordia runs its first race on Sept. 9 at Cal State San Bernardino. Azusa Pacific will lace up for the first time on Sept. 16 at UC Riverside.

Defending PacWest champs Biola (men and women) look to defend their titles in Fresno on Oct. 21, while the majority of PacWest teams will also run at the NCAA Division II West Regionals on November 4 at Western Oregon's course in Monmouth. The 2023 NCAA National Championships will be held in Joplin, Missouri on November 18.
