PacWest Ranks High Academically

The D2 ADA Academic Achievement Awards have been announced and features 1,272 PacWest student-athletes. That ranks sixth nationally among 23 NCAA Division II conferences across the country.

1,272 PacWest student-athletes have landed on the 2024-25 D2 ADA Academic Achievement Award list, which makes the conference among the tops student-athlete leagues in the nation. 

The Pacific West Conference finished sixth of 23 NCAA Division II conferences from across the country. For the first time since its inception, there were more than 20,000 student-athletes recognized (22,756) from a record 202 institutions for the 2024-25 Academic Achievement Awards. This year’s totals are the highest in the program’s history. In total, 190,152 student-athletes have been recognized since the inception of the awards program.

Biola University led all PacWest schools with 191 honorees, followed by Concordia (152) and Azusa Pacific (148). Overall, the 1,272 who qualified from the PacWest represent an increase of 13.16% from the 2023-24 academic year. 

To qualify for this honor, the following must occur:--The school's athletic director must be a dues-paying member of the D2 ADA. The student-athlete must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale and have attended a minimum of two years (four semesters) of college level work, They must also have been an active member of an intercollegiate team during his/her last academic year.

This year’s record-breaking submissions for both individuals and schools serve as a testament to the Division II way. Thanks to the administrators that nominated these outstanding individuals, and much-deserved congratulations to our 22,000-plus recipients."
