PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Menlo's Isak Haukefaer, D/MF, Sr., 5-11, 190, Bergen, Norway
Menlo's Isak Haukefaer was a scoring machine during wins for the Oaks over Jessup and CS Monterey Bay last week. The senior from Norway scored twice in Menlo's 4-3 non-conference win over Jessup and added three goals in a 5-3 victory over the Otters. He took only six shots to get to those ten total points, and all five of his shots on goal landed in the back of the net. The 2024 All-PacWest Second Team selection now leads the PacWest in goals scored (6) and points (12) in 2025. He moved into fourth all-time in Oaks history with 22 career goals and is tied for sixth with 46 career points.

DEFENDER OF THE WEEK: Point Loma's Shawn O'Brien, D, Soph., 5-10, 150, Temecula, Calif.
Point Loma's Shawn O'Brien directed traffic during two Sea Lion shutouts last week at home against Colorado School of Mines and Regis. The Sea Lion defense allowed just four shots against Regis and four shots on goal against Mines. "Shawn continues to be one of the bright spots in the first two weeks of the season," said PLNU head coach Phil Wolf. "Out of the possible 360 minutes this season, Shawn has only sat out 17. He has shown a tremendous work rate as he plays both sides of the ball equally well. He played a large part our our consecutive shutouts this past weekend."

TEAMS OF THE WEEK: Menlo Oaks and Point Loma Sea Lions
Menlo is the Team of the Week for the second straight time, this week sharing with Point Loma. The Oaks used a high scoring offense to race to victories over Jessup (4-3) and CS Monterey Bay (5-3). Isak Haukefaer (see above) provided most of that offense with three goals against the Otters, and he tallied two quick scores at the 15th and 16th minutes against Jessup. David Stuber had two assists against CSUMB and added the game-winning goal in the 87th minute against the Warriors. Point Loma used shutdown defense to defeat two visiting schools from Colorado. The Sea Lions allowed just four shots against each opponent, handing Regis their first loss of the season (2-1) while plastering Colorado School of Mines, who received votes in the national poll. Offensively, Emmett Layman had two goals and an assist against Mines and Cole Friesen added one of each against the Orediggers. PLNU goalkeeper Jeremy Caringella totaled four saves in the two shutouts.
