WBB Tip-Off Not That Far Away

All PacWest teams will be underway by the weekend of Nov. 9-10, while Hoops in Hawaii will get the season off and running the first weekend of the month.

The long road to the 2026-27 Pacific West Conference women's basketball tournament will begin soon.

That destination this year is Biola University, March 4-6, at Chase Gymnasium. You can see the 2026-27 full women's basketball schedule, including all 10 PacWest teams, by clicking here.

There will be a smattering of scrimmages and exhibition games in October, but the official tip off for Division II teams is November 9-10. But the Hoops in Hawaii event will start October 31-November 1 (NCAA exemption weekend) with Chaminade and Hawaii Pacific hosting Alaska Anchorage and Colorado Mesa.

The actual opening weekend (Nov. 13-14) will be jammed packed with action. PacWest teams will play a pair of games each at crossover tournaments against teams from the California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) and the Great Northwest Athletic Conference (GNAC). Those host sites include San Franciso, Westmont, Fresno, Biola, Dominican, Western Oregon, Concordia and Point Loma.

Conference play officially begins the week of December 3-5. Those weekend match-ups include Point Loma going to Jessup and Domincan, Westmont traveling to Domincan and Jessup, while Biola and Vanguard will travel to play the trio of Hawaii schools.

All that action points to the conference tournament in March. The top six teams in the final regular season standings will qualify for the tournament. Vanguard is the defending regular season and tournament champion.

When you can't get to a game in person, you can watch any of the 10 PacWest teams on the PacWest Network.
