WBB Record Book Has New Entries

Vanguard wins its first title in their second try, PLNU's Navarro breaks single season record for steals, and CUI freshman Asia Darcuiel ties record with 19 field goals in a game.

The 2025-26 women's basketball season in the Pacific West Conference is in the rearview mirror, but there are certainly some very interesting notes worth revisiting with the update of the conference record book.

*For starters, Vanguard University won the conference title in just their second season of eligibility. The Lions won the regular season title and also captured the conference tournament.

*The PacWest had three teams qualify for the NCAA West Regional tournament for the first time since 2019.

*Point Loma's Izzy Navarro set a PacWest single-season record with 125 steals. She also now lists third with 203 assists in a year.

*Concordia freshman Asia Darcuiel scored 45 points on the road at Point Loma, the second highest single-game total in PacWest history. Her 19 field goals in the game tied the conference record.

*Jessup's Andheya Aurelio hit nine three-pointers in the season finale against Chaminade, the second most in PacWest history. Two other players also cracked the top 10 in that category.

*Three players made the all-time top 10 in season free throw percentage, led by Hawaii Pacific's Kyra Tanabe's .889 accuracy mark.

*Azusa Pacific leaves the PacWest (going to Division III) with the most PacWest titles in conference history (six).
