PacWest and Teamworks Partnership Goes Elite

The PacWest is the first NCAA Division II conference to go Elite Hub status with Teamworks.

The PacWest Conference is expanding its partnership with Teamworks to Elite, adding Teamworks Hub conference-wide. The move builds on the five-year, conference-wide agreement PacWest signed with Teamworks Compliance + Recruiting in January 2026, when the conference became the eighth in Division II to adopt Teamworks on a conference-wide basis. With this expansion, the PacWest becomes the first Division II conference in the country to go Elite with Teamworks.

The decision grew directly out of the conference's experience on the ground, as member athletic departments used Teamworks C+R and began asking for more.

"The direct interaction of our PacWest Conference athletic departments from the partnership with Teamworks C+R — as our schools experienced the services offered, several of our athletic departments saw the opportunity and wanted to explore the benefits that are provided in the Elite Hub program," said Brad Jones, Commissioner of the PacWest Conference.

Extending Into Day-to-Day Operations

That momentum wasn't accidental. It came from an ongoing feedback loop between the conference office and its members throughout the C+R rollout, one that surfaced a clear appetite for the broader operational tools available through Elite. Where C+R standardized compliance and recruiting, Hub reaches into a different layer of department life, connecting the two into a single system. Because Hub and C+R sit on the same Teamworks platform, athlete and roster data entered once carries across both products, so staff aren't re-entering the same information for compliance, recruiting, and daily operations like scheduling, communication, and travel.

"I expect the biggest impact to be in the day-to-day efficiency of our athletic departments," Jones said. "Hub gives our members a centralized place to communicate, organize schedules and travel, collect materials, and distribute information quickly and effectively. Bringing those functions together in one platform can simplify operations, reduce administrative demands on staff, and ultimately allow them to spend more time focused on supporting their student-athletes."

The PacWest's original partnership was built on a commitment to lower costs while raising the level of service available to members. Jones frames the Elite expansion as a continuation of that same concept.

"It really comes down to the conference finding ways to make things easier and more cost-effective for our members," Jones said. "By expanding to Elite, we can use the collective strength of the conference to give our schools access to tools and resources at a better value than they may be able to achieve on their own. At the same time, we're helping our staffs simplify their day-to-day work so they can spend more time focused on what matters most, supporting their student-athletes."

Setting the Standard for Division II

For Jones, the milestone is less about being first and more about what it represents: a conference office willing to act on what its members need.

"As the first Division II conference to go Elite with Teamworks, this partnership reflects our commitment to being proactive and innovative on behalf of our member institutions," Jones said. "As a conference office, we want to continue identifying opportunities that help our institutions operate more efficiently, create cost savings, and better serve their student-athletes."

His advice to peers considering the same move:

"I would encourage them to explore it," Jones said. "From our initial conversations through implementation on each of our campuses, the Teamworks staff has been incredibly easy to work with, very responsive, collaborative, and focused on the needs of our individual institutions. A conference-wide technology investment can create efficiencies, provide cost savings, and give member institutions access to resources they may not be able to pursue individually. For us, having the right partner made the process seamless and the investment even more valuable."
