2015-16 All-PacWest Women's Basketball Team

IRVINE, Calif.
– The 2015-16 All-PacWest Women’s Basketball Team was released by the conference office on Wednesday, based on a vote of the league’s head coaches.
 
Azusa Pacific senior forward Kelly Hardeman was named PacWest Player of the Year. She ranked sixth in the conference in scoring (17.6 ppg), third in rebounding (9.3 rpg), eighth in field goal percentage (.443), third in three-pointers (76), fifth in blocks (1.5 bpg) and 10th in steals (1.9 rpg). She became a four-time All-PacWest selection, making the first team for the third-consecutive season. She was voted Preseason Player of the Year before the season and became the first APU player to earn the postseason accolade.
 
Academy of Art senior guard Jasmin Guinn was named PacWest Defender of the Year. She led the PacWest in steals (111) and steals per game (3.7 spg), ranking third and fourth in the nation in each category, respectively. She had at least three steals in 23 of her 30 games this season, including eight steals in the regular season finale. Academy of Art led the PacWest in turnover margin (+8.3). A three-time PacWest Defender of the Week, Guinn was also third in the conference in scoring (19.5 ppg) and ninth in rebound (8.6 rpg). She was named All-PacWest for the third time in her career.
 
Hawai’i Pacific junior forward Cece Pearl was named PacWest Newcomer of the Year. A transfer from Eastern Washington, Pearl averaged 10.0 points and 5.7 rebounds per game. She notched consecutive double-doubles to start conference play, with 16 points and 11 rebounds against Concordia and 15 points and 10 rebounds against BYU-Hawaii. She is the third HPU player to win Newcomer of the Year, joining Tiffany Wilson (2008-09) and Kylie Huerta (2014-15).
 
Notre Dame de Namur freshman forward Jerusha Paine was named PacWest Freshman of the Year. Paine averaged 13.3 points and 7.2 rebounds per game, the top marks by a conference freshman. A six-time PacWest Freshman of the Week, she recorded six double-doubles on the season. She scored a career-best 27 points against Chaminade, shooting 8-for-11 from the field and 11-for-11 from the free throw line.
 
California Baptist head coach Jarrod Olson was named PacWest Coach of the Year. Olson led the Lancers to their second conference title in his four-year tenure with the program and to a program record 20-game winning streak. CBU lost just one game in the regular season and were ranked in the top-5 in the nation for 13 weeks.
