INDIANAPOLIS -- On Wednesday, the NCAA announced the 43 winners from the NCAA of the annual Presidents' Award for Academic Excellence and Biola, Dominican and Point Loma were three of the winners from NCAA Division II.
The award is given to schools with a score of 90 or better on academic success rate, which measures a school's graduation rates among student-athletes within six years of enrolling at the school. Biola was tied for the third-best academic success rate in the nation at 98, tying Hillsdale and Thomas Jefferson.
Dominican ranked 11th among the top schools in the nation with a score of 94, and Point Loma was right behind with an impressive 93. The PacWest is tied for the fifth-most schools receiving the award with three schools eclipsing the 90-mark.
