PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Chaminade's Haley Mo`okini, D, 5-7, So., San Gabriel, Calif.
Yes, Haley Mo`okini is listed as a defender on the roster, but last week she was effective on both ends of the field to flat out earn Player of the Week honors. Including last Monday's 2-0 win over Fresno Pacific, the sophomore drove home three penalty kick scores and also blasted a 40-yard set piece shot over the Dominican goalkeeper for four goals. Additionally, he was a key part of a defense that allowed just one goal in three matches, and that came on a penalty kick. Chaminade is 3-0 in PacWest play for their best start in school history, tied for the top spot in the conference standings and they are 5-2-2 overall.

DEFENDER OF THE WEEK: Point Loma's Julia Pinnell, GK, 5-8, So., Tigard, Ore.
Point Loma shutout Azusa Pacific in a big PacWest match (1-0), and Julia Pinnell played a key role in that blanking. The sophomore goalkeeper had three saves, none bigger than in the second half in a one-on-one situation when she made a diving stop. Two of her saves were in the second half. Pinnell has has three shutouts on the season and a 0.78 goals against average. She is in her second season as a starter, after earning Third Team All-PacWest honors in 2022 as a freshman.

TEAM OF THE WEEK: Hawai`i Hilo Vulcans
The Hawai`i Hilo Vulcans are the Team of the Week, and believe it or not, that is the first such award for the No. 6 ranked Vulcans this season. Counting a 6-0 win over Academy of Art last Monday, the defending PacWest champs went 3-0 and outscored their opponents by a 11-0 margin on their mainland trip. UH Hilo is now 7-0-1 on the season and tied with Chaminade at the top of the PacWest standings at 3-0. In a 3-0 win over Dominican, Megan Donovan had two scores while Jazlynn Ellis had a goal and an assist. In a 2-0 victory over Fresno Pacific, scoring machines Teani Arakawa and Alyssa Padron each had goals and keeper Phoebe Barnes had three saves. On the season, the Vulcans have scored a league-best 22 goals (the next closest team has 14) and have given up only three scores.
