The 2025 women's soccer postseason began with a wet and wild Pacific West Conference Championships in San Diego and finished with
Azusa Pacific winning two matches and reaching the NCAA West Region final.
The second annual PacWest tournament featured two overtime matches and one of them went to a penalty kick shootout.
Point Loma won the tournament, surviving in overtime against
Dominican, who had topped Azusa Pacific via penalty kicks in the opening match. It was the second straight conference championship for the Sea Lions.
Azusa Pacific and Point Loma then traveled all the way to the northwest portion of Washington to play in the NCAA Regional, with APU winning. The Cougars then also topped host Western Washington to advance to the regional final, falling to defending national champion Cal Poly Pomona.
With those two NCAA victories, the Cougars became just the fourth PacWest team to accomplished a pair of wins in the postseason, joining Concordia (2022), Point Loma (national champs, 2023) and the Sea Lions in 2024.
Additionally, the record book had a number of new entries, including numbers on the defensive side of the field.
Concordia established the second lowest Team Goals Against Average in PacWest history (0.41), while Golden Eagle keeper
Riley Urquiza now lists third all-time in GAA at 0.57, with Point Loma's
Julia Pinnell listing sixth at 0.63.
