Point Loma went a perfect 20-0 in the regular season, won the PacWest tournament and advanced to the west region final. But that wasn't the only noteworthy accomplishment during the men's basketball season this past winter.

Here are some of the highlights. First regarding
Kaden Anderson and
Point Loma.
Anderson is now the PacWest’s all-time leading scorer with 2,047 points, breaking the record set in 2017 by California Baptist’s Michael Smith at 2,031. He also broke Lucas Alves’ (BYU-Hawaii) record for career field goals made with 733. His field-goal percentage of .534 is the 13th-best in conference history...Anderson is the second player in PacWest history to be named the PacWest Player of the Year three times, joining Alves, and he is the fifth player to be named to the All-PacWest team four times...Anderson scored 46 points with 18 field goals made against Western Washington, setting the new conference record for field goals made in a single game while scoring the fourth most points in conference history...Anderson moved up to ninth all-time in career scoring average with 13.24 points per game...Anderson ranks third all-time in total rebounds with 882.
Point Loma set a new record for wins in an undefeated conference season with 20 in 2022-23. The Sea Lions have moved up to eighth-place on the conference’s all-time wins list, moving past Alaska Anchorage and Seattle Pacific...Point Loma tied its own PacWest record for most free throws made as a team in a single game without a miss, making all 16 attempts against Biola...The Sea Lions broke its own record for 3-pointers made in a single season with 354, setting the record for the second-consecutive year. The Sea Lions also crushed Azusa Pacific’s record for 3-pointers attempted in a season with 967 attempts. The previous record was 915 by Azusa Pacific in the 2019-20 season...Point Loma is now 7-5 in NCAA postseason play, which is tied with California Baptist for the third-most wins by a PacWest team. BYU-Hawaii is the all-time leader with a 12-11 record followed by Seattle Pacific, which went 9-7 from 1994 to 2001.
Now, on to non-Point Loma news (there is still plenty).
Biola's Maximo Milovich set a new PacWest record for offensive rebounds in a single season with 120, breaking a record that stood for 13 years...Milovich ranks eighth in career offensive rebounds with 233.
BU's Alex Wright broke the PacWest record for career defensive rebounds with 715, surpassing Petar Kutlesic (Azusa Pacific), who set the record at 683 in 2018...Wright also moved up to No. 7 in the all-time scoring list with 1,645 career points, putting him right next to his former teammate Michael Bagatourian, who ranks sixth. Wright lists sixth in career field goals made with 597 and sixth in 3-pointers made with 201.
Azusa Pacific tallied 311 total 3-pointers for the second year in a row, tying itself for sixth-place all-time...The Cougars moved up to sixth place all-time for total PacWest wins with 156, passing two charter members: Alaska Anchorage and Montana State Billings, who have a combined 13 PacWest regular season titles. The Cougars also have the second-best conference winning percentage of any school with at least eight years in the conference at 71.9 percent...APU's Ken West has made 177 career 3-pointers, which ranks 11th in PacWest history.
Hawai`i Hilo moved into second place for most PacWest wins in conference history with 222 since joining the conference in 1994. The Vulcans surpassed BYU-Hawaii at 210...Hilo's Aniwaniwa Tait-Jones ranks No. 5 in career points per game in PacWest history with 17.1, while UHH's Darren Williams, Edward Gray (Holy Names), and Isaac Amaral-Artharee (Chaminade) all moved into the top-20...Tait-Jones ranks fourth in career rebounds per game with 8.52.
Roman Behrens (Holy Names) made 17 free throws against Concordia on February 4, which is the most free throws made in a single game in the last five years and is tied for the fourth most in conference history. He made all 17 of his attempts, which is the second-most free throws made without a miss in PacWest history.
Mike Asante (Academy of Art) became the first player in the PacWest to record 20 rebounds in a game since Randan Berinobis (Hawai`i Hilo) set the PacWest record for rebounds in a single game with 24 in 2016.
ART U's Klay Brown recorded 71 steals this season, which is tied for the eighth most in conference history. He joins Xander McNally (Dominican) and Brian Chambers (Concordia) as the only players to list in the top-10 for single season steals in the PacWest twice.
Hawai`i Hilo's Nadjrick Peat tallied 62 blocks, becoming the sixth different player in PacWest history to eclipse the 60-block milestone.
Chaminade's Braden Olsen led the conference in assists, becoming the fourth Silversword to do so in conference history. He joins Zack Whiting, Hayden Heiber, and Kendall Small.
Hawai`i Pacific recorded 68 rebounds in a single game, which is the second-most in PacWest history.
For the second year in a row, Academy of Art recorded at least 320 steals in a season. Only one other team in conference history as done that even once (Concordia, 328 in 2018-19).
