In 2024, Point Loma won the 32-game Pacific West Conference regular season baseball title with a 25-6-1 record, edging second-place Westmont (23-8-1) by two games.
Whoever wins the conference title in 2025 will have win more than 25 games. That's because with three new clubs joining the PacWest fold, the conference schedule has expanded to 44 games for each of its 12 teams. Welcome to the PacWest, Jessup, Menlo and Vanguard.

PacWest play begins February 13-15 with Point Loma taking on Biola, Chaminade traveling to Azusa Pacific, Vanguard taking on neighborhood rival Concordia, Jessup and Fresno Pacific splittlng locations for four games and Hawaii Pacific planes to Westmont. Hawai`i Hilo gets into league action the following weekend by hosting Fresno Pacific and Menlo plays their first PacWest games at Concordia.
The three new schools aren't yet eligible for postseason play, leaving nine teams to fight for four PacWest tournament playoff spots. This year, Fresno Pacific will be the site at newly renovated Dan Martin Stadium, May 7-9. The winner of that double elimination championship receives an automatic berth into the NCAA West Region Championships.
Last spring, Point Loma won the regular season and PacWest tournament titles, went on to capture the NCAA West Region trophy and advanced to the NCAA Division II World Series.
