Azusa Pacific continues to be next to impossible to score on, notching two 1-0 victories to run their shutout streak to nine. Westmont also won two matches but the opposite way, scoring six total goals with Skyler McNamara accounting for five of those points. During a week where the top six save totals of the entire season were recorded, Hawaii Pacific's Skylar Jacobsen stood out with 18 saves on the week, including a PacWest best 11 against Vanguard.

PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Westmont's Skyler McNamara, F, Soph., 5-7, Valley Center, Calif.
Westmont's Skyler McNamara helped the high powered Warrior offense with a pair of goals, an assist and two wins. Westmont scored three goals twice with a 3-1 victory over Menlo and a 3-2 conquest of Fresno Pacific for their first two victories of the year, both of them conference wins (2-1). The sophomore from the San Diego area had a goal and a assist against the Oaks in just 45 minutes of play, and added the opening goal during a tight 3-2 victory over the Sunbirds. The sophomore, who did not score during her freshman season with the Warriors, now has four goals and nine points in 2025.
DEFENDER OF THE WEEK: Hawaii Pacific's Skylar Jacobsen, GK, Fr., 5-6, Fort Collins, Colo.
Hawaii Pacific's Skylar Jacobsen had a very busy pair of matches for the Sharks last week against Vanguard and Azusa Pacific. The freshman from Colorado had a 2025 PacWest season best of 11 saves during a 1-0 win over Vanguard, facing 19 Lions shots during the shutout. Against red-hot Azusa Pacific, Jacobsen gave up just one score and had seven saves during a 1-0 loss to the Cougars. In all, she faced 35 shots, gave up one score and had 18 saves. The rookie now has a 0.56 goals against average, has 66 saves and six shutouts. Her save total is more than double of anyone else in the conference and her half dozen shutuouts is second in the PacWest.
TEAM OF THE WEEK: Azusa Pacific Cougars
Azusa Pacific is the Team of the Week for the second week in a row in rolling to their eighth and ninth consecutive shutouts. The Cougars, who defeated Chaminade and Hawaii Pacific by 1-0 scores on the road, have now over 13 hours of match play without giving up a score, and have tied a school record with the nine straight blank sheets. Alexia Muniz calls the shots for the defense and added two more shutouts to her stat totals and had three saves in each match. The Cougars and Muniz had not given up a score since their opening match of the 2025 season, a 3-1 loss to defending national champ Cal Poly Pomona.

.Dominican won its lone match of the week, 1-0 over Menlo...It's early, but it appears that the race for the four conference tournament berths in San Diego (Nov. 13-15) is going to be frantic. The unbalanced schedule makes it a bit hard to follow, but here is where we are in mid-October with the top half.
