It's just one calendar flip and few days before the 2026 women's soccer season kicks off for ten Pacific West Conference teams. 

August 27 is the date to circle, when all ten PacWest squads will begin play with non-conference clashes in California, Hawai`i, Colorado and Washington. Those games begin the grind of over two months of play with the PacWest Championships in Hilo, Hawai`i on November 5 and 7 the ultimate destination for the top four qualifiers.

PacWest play begins on September 23 when Westmont visits Vanguard and on the 24th when Chaminade travels to Point Loma. 

The PacWest has become one of the top Division II women's soccer conferences in the country. Last year, the top five teams in the conference totaled 46 wins against only 16 losses overall. In each of the last two seasons, a PacWest team has reached the regional final, and in 2023 Point Loma won the NCAA National Championship. 

Last fall, Azusa Pacific was the conference regular season winner (they will move to Division III this year), with Hawai`i Hilo second and Point Loma and Dominican tied for third. Perennial contender Concordia missed out by just one point. The Sea Lions won the tournament title with a double-overtime win over Dominican, who had defeated the Cougars to reach the title match.
