Point Loma, on the strength of strong regional and national finishes in three sports, lists 16th in the NACDA Division II Learfield Directors' Cup through the Fall of 2025.
The Sea Lions earned 83 Directors' Cup points for finishing third at the NCAA Volleyball Championships, 73 points for fifth place in men's soccer and 25 points for a regional appearance in women's soccer.
That gave Point Loma 181 points. The Learfield Directors' Cup is based on pure point totals across the seven sports that NCAA Division II offers in the Fall, unlike the Bob Hogue Commissioner's Cup in the Pacific West Conference, which takes your average across the programs you have. Point Loma offers four sports in the Fall, and scored in three of those programs.
Azusa Pacific (women's soccer) and
Fresno Pacific (volleyball) each scored 25 Cup points for reaching the regional finals (91st place).
Hawaii Hilo earned points for a regional men's soccer win (106th place), while
Biola did the same in women's cross country (104th).
UC Colorado Springs is the current leader with 289.50 points. For the complete 2025 Fall standings,
