INDIANAPOLIS--Point Loma is still No. 1 and Biola moved up to No. 3 in today's (March 5) NCAA West Region Men's Basketball rankings. 

That greatly strengthens the Sea Lions' opportunity to host the NCAA West Region Championships, March 14-17. Biola, at No. 3, is a lock to qualify as well. Academy of Art, who was No. 10 last week, fell out of the rankings. 

The champion of this weeks (March 6-8) Pacific West Conference tournament in San Rafael will get an automatic bid into the NCAA tournament, but this listing (actually the final list on Sunday, March 9) will determine the rest of the field outside of the three conference champs from the PacWest, CCAA and GNAC. Those three tournament champs qualify, along with the next five teams on the list.
