Sharpshooters, Rebounders Enter MBB Record Book

There are new record book entries in the PacWest men's basketball record book after the 2026 season.

The 2025-26 men's basketball season in the Pacific West Conference will be defined by Point Loma winning their sixth regular season title and advancing to the NCAA West Region title game for the third time in the last four years. 

But there were plenty of other items to note that have been etched into the PacWest record books. Listed below are just some of those highlites.

*First, back to Point Loma. They won their sixth regular season title, tying them for second all-time in PacWest history with BYU Hawaii and Dixie State (Alaska Anchorage is first with eight). The Sea Lions won two NCAA playoff games and finally lost in the final to unbeaten CSU East Bay.

*Azusa Pacific's Shad Thomas had 22 rebounds in a game against Hawaii Pacific, including 13 on the offensive end. That's the second highest total in PacWest history. Thomas, a transfer from Catawba, averaged 10 rebounds a game, seventh all-time in the conference.

*Nathan Medina has a career free throw percentage of .857, third on the PacWest list. That combines his career at Biola and Chaminade.

*Speaking of free throws, Hawaii Hilo's Julio Montes II was nails this year with a .903 marksmanship. That is sixth best for a single season. He and the Vulcans also drained all 16 of their free throw attempts in a game at Fresno Pacific, tied for second on the conference list.

*Jessup's Andre Norris had 80 steals this season, sixth best for a single season. He is also listed eighth in career steals with 155, and Fresno Pacific's Isaac Peralta landed at fifth with 164 thefts. 

*Biola's Tyus Parrish-Tillman lists sixth in career blocked shots with 115. Menlo as a team swatted 12 shots in a game against Jessup, the third highest single game total.
