When you reside in one of the top women's soccer conferences in NCAA Division II, it's tough to get your name in the Pacific West Conference record book in any shape or form.
Nonetheless,
Hawai`i Hilo's Teani Arakawa and
Point Loma's Alana Diaz managed to make a number of entries in the refreshed PacWest record book, through the 2024 season. Arakawa, back-to-back PacWest Player of the Year, lists fourth in career points (81) and fifth in career goals (30). She compiled those totals in just three years after transferring from South Dakota State.
Arakawa wasn't just a goal scorer, she shared scoring opportunities with 10 assists this past season, third in the single season record book. She is tied for fourth all-time in career assists (21). Diaz is fifth on that same career points list (77) and is tied with Arakawa in goals scored (30).
Defensively, three terrific goalkeepers added to career Top 10 numbers last Fall.
Point Loma's Julia Pinnell, who still has another seasn left in a Sea Lion uniform, is second in career goals against average (0.49). Leaving their programs after graduating are
Concordia's Riley Urquiza fifth (0.62) and
Hawai`i Hilo's Phoebe Barnes tenth (0.78).
In the Team category,
Point Loma improved its all-time NCAA postseason record to 12-6 after winning a pair of west region matches last fall.
