30 Days Out--Baseball Season is Near

Baseball begins January 30 for Pacific West Conference teams, with the goal to qualify for the PacWest tournament in May in Santa Barbara.

It's a little hard to imagine right now with all the rain in California, but baseball season is just around the corner.

January 30 is opening day for the Pacific West Conference and NCAA Division II, and most PacWest teams will open that weekend with 3-game non-conference series against teams from the CCAA, the GNAC and RMAC.

More non-league games follow until PacWest play opens on February 13-14. All 12 teams that play baseball in the conference will play 4-game series with Hawaii Hilo visiting Menlo, Azusa Pacific at Westmont, Hawaii Pacific at Point Loma, Vanguard at Jessup, Biola at Fresno Pacific and Chaminade at Concordia.

The top four teams in the conference standings after a 44-game league schedule has been completed will gather at Westmont College May 6-8 (Wednesday-Friday) for the Pacific West Conference Championships. Westmont earned the right to host the tournament in Santa Barbara at Russ Carr Field after winning the 2025 PacWest regular season title. The Warriors also won the conference tournament crown with wins over fellow qualifiers Biola, Point Loma and Hawaii Pacific.
