Dominican finished an impressive third place at the RCA Electric in Monterey earlier this week. At the same tournament, Westmont’s Jose Carlos Licon and Chaminade’s Dale Swartwood also tied for third on the leaderboard to share Player of the Week honors.

Co-Player of the Week: Westmont’s Jose Carlos Licon, Jr., 5-8, Chihuahua, Mexico
Westmont’s Jose Carlos Licon tied for third at the RCA Electric in Monterey with a three-round score of +1. The junior from Mexico had consistent rounds of 71, 73 and 72 to land in that spot tied with
Chaminade’s Dale Swartwood. Licon, who finished third at the 2026 PacWest Championships, had 12 birdies over his 54 holes to finish just five shots out of the lead.
Co-Player of the Week: Chaminade’s Dale Swartwood, Fr., 6-2, San Diego
Chaminade’s Dale Swartwood shared third-place standing with
Westmont’s Jose Carlos Licon at the RCA Electric, hosted by Menlo College. Like Licon, Swartwood had consistent rounds of 73, 71, and 73. The freshman from San Diego also had 12 birdies over the three rounds to finish just a few shots away from the second slot on the leaderboard.
Team of the Week: Dominican Penguins
The
Dominican Penguins finished an impressive third at the RCA Electric on Monday-Tuesday with a +26 score over 54 holes. The Penguins finished just behind champion Stanislaus State (+17) and Menlo (+23), and also ahead of CSU Dominguez Hills (+31) and
Chaminade (+31). The Penguins did not have an individual in the Top 10, but had consistent scores from +6-12 among their top four players.

Jeronimo Velazquez at +6…The week prior, in the state of Washington, four PacWest teams competed at the St. Martin’s Invitational and the Western Washington Invite. At SMU,
Dominican finished sixth,
Hawaii Hilo was ninth,
Jessup tenth and
Hawaii Pacific was 11
th. The top PacWest golfer was HPU’s
Kyle Krupp, tied for 13
th at -1. In Bellingham,
Dominican was eighth,
Hilo tenth,
Hawaii Pacific 11
th and
Jessup was 14
th. The top golfer from the conference was
DUC’s Mikael Khursheed, tied for ninth, at even par.
