Vulcan's Victory Helps Rewrite MG Record Book

Hawai`i Hilo won their fourth straight PacWest title this year, creating a number of new conference record book entries.

The University of Hawai`i Hilo men's golf team won it's fourth straight PacWest title this past spring in Las Vegas, and it was their seventh trophy since the conference began having golf championships in 2007.

Their fourth straight victory celebration was the most in the PacWest record books, as is their seven championships. Those facts highlight a number of new entries into the PacWest men's golf record book in 2026.

*The Vulcan's -8 tally over the three rounds at the Aliante course in North Las Vegas is the fourth lowest team score in the PacWest record book, and the lowest tally since 2017.

*Hilo's Dylan Bercan was the first player to win back-to-back medalist honors since Keita Okada did so for Hawai`i Pacific in 2021 and 2022.

*Westmont's Jose Carlos Lincon shot a 67 (-5) in the final round of this year's tournament, the lowest round of any player in the 2026 championships and tied for the third lowest in history.

*Vanguard's Fisher Ransom, Hilo's Bercan and Dominican's Daniel Marmorstein all shot a 68 during the tournament to place them on the "best rounds" list.
