Sharks, Lions Share PacWest MSOC Title

Hawaii Pacific tops 'Swords on final day to tie with Vanguard, but the Sharks are the No. 1 seed by virtue of their win over the Lions earlier this month.

WALNUT CREEK, Calif.--Hawaii Pacific won its final four matches and five of their last six to vault into a first place tie with Vanguard to share the 2026 PacWest Conference regular season championship.

Both teams have 6-2-1 conference records (19 points). The Sharks earn the No. 1 seed by virtue of their 2-1 win over Vanguard on October 3. It is the first PacWest MSOC title for either team.

Those two champs are joined by No. 3 seed Westmont and No. 4 Dominican. Both teams got in on the final day of the regular season (today, Oct. 31)--Westmont because of its improbable upset of three-time defending champion Point Loma (4-1) and Dominican with its 3-0 victory over Jessup. The Penguins are the host of the championships.

Dominican's Kennelly Field is the site, where No. 1 seed Hawaii Pacific will play the No. 4 Penguins at 11 am on Thursday. The other semifinal features No. 2 Vanguard vs. No. 3 Westmont. The two winners will play on Saturday (Nov. 7) at Noon.
