Three PacWest Teams Listed in NCAA Softball Rankings

Concordia stays at No. 3, Biola remains at No. 6 and Hawaii Hilo is seventh.

INDIANAPOLIS--Concordia is listed third, Biola is sixth, and Hawaii Hilo is seventh in today's (May 6) NCAA West Region softball rankings announced by the national office. 

Concordia has already won two games at the PacWest Conference tournament, where the champion earns the conference's automatic berth into the NCAA tournament, May 14-16.

The final tournament selections are on May 10.

The top two teams in the final rankings announced during the selection show will serve as the host schools for the opening rounds of NCAA Regionals. Eight total teams will be selected from each region, with four going to each regional host during the first weekend of tournament play (4-seed, 5-seed, and 8-seed travel to 1-seed, while 3-seed, 6-seed, and 7-seed travel to 2-seed).

In addition to the PacWest's champion, winners of the conference tournaments for the California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) and the Great Northwest Athletic Conference (GNAC) will claim three of the eight spots.
