2015 NSCAA Women’s All-West Region
IRVINE, Calif. – The PacWest added to its soccer regional award total with 22 selections to the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Men’s and Women’s Division II All-West Region teams, released on Wednesday. PacWest men’s teams garnered 13 selections, and PacWest women’s teams earned nine.
PacWest Men’s Soccer champion Fresno Pacific led the way again with four selections.
Renato Bustamante and
Jorge Chedraui were named to the first team, and
Dallas Whitlow and
Alvaro Nogales were named to the second team. All four players were honored on the same teams by the D2CCA.
Tyler Matas (Notre Dame de Namur) also doubled-up as a first-team selection. Fellow second-team selections included
Bradley Trella (Dixie State),
Jorge Echavarria (Dixie State) and
Daniel tenBosch (Point Loma). The PacWest also had five third-team members –
Tyler Allen (Point Loma),
Javier Risco Garcia (Hawai’i Pacific),
Jack Ewert (NDNU),
Carlos Garcia-Partida (Azusa Pacific) and
Jackson Groves (Hawai’i Pacific).
The PacWest had five first-team women’s selections, the most of any conference in the region. Azusa Pacific led the conference with four honorees.
Mayra Almazan,
Allyn Brown,
Haley Patterson and
Katelyn Rogers were all named to the first team. Point Loma earned three selections;
Morgan Pearce on the first team,
Keagan Bolibol and
Rachel Witz on the second. California Baptist received third-team honors for
Chaylin Couzens and
Riley Phillips.
Almazan, Patterson and Pearce were also D2CCA First Team members. Between the NSCAA and D2CCA teams, the PacWest earned 39 combined all-region honors, including 12 on the first team.
