IRVINE, Calif. -- Point Loma won two games at home to improve to 4-0 in conference play at the top of the PacWest standings with wins over Hawai`i Hilo and Biola as the Sea Lions moved up to the No. 2 spot in the D2SIDA West Region Rankings.
There are now three undefeated teams in the PacWest standings led by the Sea Lions’ 4-0 start. Point Loma defeated Biola, which was 3-0 in PacWest play, 81-78 on Saturday. Biola led by three with three minutes left in the game, but
Noah Stapes and
Darnel Robateau each scored four points in those final three minutes to take the victory.
Holy Names got its third win in a row, beating Hawai`i Pacific, 66-61.
Justice De Corsi made all six of his field-goal attempts for a team-high 15 points off the bench as Holy Names improved to 4-4 this season. Academy of Art became the first NCAA Division II team to defeat Chaminade this year, with a 75-68 win at home on Sunday.
Stefan Milivojevic made 8 of 10 shots for 22 points with seven rebounds in the win.
This week, Chaminade will play at Holy Names on Tuesday before going to Notre Dame de Namur on Thursday and Dominican on Saturday. This weekend, several of the top teams in NCAA Division II will be in Honolulu to play against Hawai`i Hilo and Hawai`i Pacific, including Alaska Anchorage and Simon Fraser, which are ranked fourth and fifth respectively in the West Region. Point Loma will visit Azusa Pacific on Saturday.

Milivojevic has scored at least 20 points in each of his last four games, including scoring 46 points in two games last week. He finished the week making 16 of 21 shots from the field, including 6 of 8 from beyond the arc. Against Cal State San Bernardino, the native of Sokobanja, Serbia, scored 24 points, making four 3-pointers with three assists and two steals. He then helped the Urban Knights become the first NCAA Division II team to beat Chaminade, scoring 22 points with a season-high seven rebounds and one steal. He made 8 of 10 shots in the win against the Silverswords, raising his field-goal percentage for the season up to .593, which ranks 37th in the nation. He is now averaging 16.2 points per game. Academy of Art led by one with three minutes left in the game against Chaminade when Milivojevic got a put-back and made four free throws to secure the victory.

Kupaa Harrison, Hawai`i Hilo
F, Sr., 6-5 -- Kailua, Hawai`i
Harrison recorded eight steals in two games for Hawai`i Hilo, helping to make the team the PacWest’s leader in steals this season with 8.8 per game, which ranks 39th nationally. The senior had three steals against Biola to go along with 14 points, nine rebounds and two assists. Seven of his rebounds came on the defensive end. Hawai`i Hilo’s defense forced Biola into 16 turnovers in the game. Harrison had five steals against Point Loma, helping the Vulcans to force a total of 17 turnovers. He finished the game with 16 points, six rebounds and two assists. Harrison is averaging two steals per game, which ranks 71st in the nation. Hawai`i Hilo ranks in the top 50 in the nation in turnover margin at +3.2 per game.
